Captain Manny V Safely Shows You The Epic Side Of Baja

Did the Baja weekender with Epic Surf Tours which was full of tasty food and tasty waves. Manny is an expert surf guide. He knows Baja well and was able to find us fun, uncrowded breaks despite finicky weather, different abilities of the group, and it being a holiday weekend. Having Manny as your guide means you’re spending more time actually surfing and less time figuring out which spot to choose, where to paddle out, and where to sit. At the end of the day, reviewing Mannys drone footage on day 1 also helped me catch 10x more waves by day 3. When we weren’t surfing, we were exploring the area and eating amazing food. Manny is a gem and every local we ran into seemed to adore him - probably because he’s so respectful and generous. Epic surf tours is an ethical and authentic surf vacation, where you can show up with your boards and let an expert plan the rest.

This was my second trip to Baja with Manny and I had an amazing time! Epic Surf Tours is now, officially, above and beyond. I mean...not that the first trip wasn’t a blast (because it was), but with the new digs, new car, and new adventures, it’s now freakin EPIC! I love that it’s truly a surf trip and Manny makes sure that surf is the top priority. I was fed beyond well, surfed my brains out, and I never felt unsafe. Plus, you get like a Bazillion photos of yourself at the end. I can’t wait to go again!

Of course loads of Americans cross the border into Mexico all year long to enjoy all of the amazing things our neighboring country has to offer: the gracious Mexican people, the stunning natural beauty, the surf breaks, the food!! It's truly a wonderland. But I'm here to tell you that experiencing the adventure with Manny as your guide takes it to the next level! A van full of surf ladies, escorted by our amiable host, set off on Friday afternoon for our Epic journey. We were late getting into Puerto Nuevo for our lobster dinner, but our night was saved by a quick phone call to the owner of Manny's favorite lobster spot. The restaurant had closed, but opened up for us. An incredible lobster feast was served, we ate until we almost burst, and were beyond thankful to the hosts and Manny both. This was our first glimpse into the magic of having him with us. His relationships with the locals, built on respect and gratitude, is the special sauce. We experienced it at every turn. 10/10 Experience. Manny is the best guide I ever had! He took us to all the best food places and more importantly he showed off his 40 years of surf knowledge. I had the best time chasing the swell in Baja with my homies and new friend Manny. Can’t wait to do it again! I am so happy I went on the Baja Weekender. I expected it to be a lot of surfing and good times, and that's exactly what it was. All five of us, three of whom knew each other before we went, were talking in the car on our way to one of the breaks about how great the trip was, how it was so awesome to not have to figure out any of the logistics and get to completely concentrate on surfing hard, relaxing whenever we weren't in the water, and not worrying about anything. Manny is a great traveler and super easy to talk to and get along with. The entire time he pointed out things that were interesting along the road, we stopped at some delicious restaurants and also roadside stands (that I had always been too timid in my previous travels in the area to stop at). From pitaya sorbet to delicious burritos at the roadside stands, we were always getting to see parts of Baja from an experienced point of view. The photos and drone shots were great, and he gave us helpful insight on what to modify, from stance to paddling to where to look on the wave, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to book again, in fact, I'm already planning my next trip with epic surf tours.

What an amazing weekend getaway with my amazing mom friends...from lobster to surf to tacos to wine tasting (Xaroma was the best!) to more surf, the weekend was a perfect treat! Manny catered to the group's surf abilities and found the right waves for our crew. The food was always amazing, he knows the local sweet spots for food and everywhere we went they seemed to know him and were genuinely happy to see Manny. The weekend was relaxing with no decisions to make and a fun time every place we went...I would have loved an extra day or two just to fit more in! Thank you Manny for an amazing Mother's Day weekend with my friends.

I initially had reservations about traveling across the border for just the weekend and the time it might take for logistics and the border crossings. Manny is such a pro that he has everything absolutely nailed down. There were no issues whatsoever and the trip was incredible easy and extremely well planned out. Manny knows all of the local breaks and knows what will be working best for any given conditions. He also knows exactly where to go for supplies, the best restaurants to go to and how to navigate everything with ease. The place we stayed was right over a terrific break, had great views and worked very well for our party. He takes great videos and pics for all of the surf sessions. The only thing I would have wished for was bigger surf!

Manny knows what he is doing! Our trip was seamless from start to finish and was so much fun. Manny has a way of keeping things moving while also not making anyone feel pressured on time and letting the group go with the flow. He knows Mexico - and the places he leads tours - like the back of his hand. We felt safe the whole time and had such a blast. I highly recommend doing a tour with Manny. It'll be one of the best trips of your life!

HIT Like a Girl Podcast Retreat

Incredible weekend surfing great waves with friends. The food was a highlight of the trip and the people were even better! The house sits right on the ocean with stunning views of Baja and the surf conditions below. Manny is not only an amazing leader and surfer but he's an awesome photographer/videographer. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone and I can't wait to do another one!
