10-Point Checklist

This is a guide to help you make your trip run nice and smooth. Please, by all means, adjust this checklist to suit your specific needs. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you have any questions.

After you look over the list and find out you may want to add a few things to your travel gear, have a look at the Epic Sur Tours Amazon store. https://www.amazon.com/shop/epicsurftours

1. Valid Passport: Make two copies of your passport. One copy of your passport will be with you at all times. The other copy will be handed to Manny V. Keep copies in zip lock bags. The original will safely stay in the hotel lockbox.

2. Signed Waivers: Please have the Adobe Sign release forms filled out before departure.

3. Medicines
3.1. Bring your prescription & medications to last you at least four days after the trip end date.
3.2. You should have mentioned any prescriptions and allergies you may have on the release form.

4. Money: This is an all-inclusive trip. If you want more food/drink (outside provided), alcohol, or souvenirs, please bring extra cash. Keep an eye on the exchange rate. Some US banks offer Mexican Pesos and may offer the best exchange rate. With the fluctuating rate, it may be best to bring pesos to Mexico rather than US dollars. Please consider tips for hotel staff ($20), our driver ($25), and boat driver ($3). These are only suggestions.

5. Pack Light
5.1. Backpack for personal items and necessities to have while on surf patrol.
5.2 Water bottle. We’ll have drinking water available in our vehicle and at the hotel to refill your bottle.
5.3 Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, etc.
5.4 Earplugs for sleeping (if needed), toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, brush/comb, etc.

6. Surf Gear
6.1. Day bag to protect board while on surf patrol (backpack style suggested for walks on beach to waves)
6.2 One waterproof bag for wet items. This could be a cinch bag, trash bag or similar.
6.3 Back up: Leash, fins, wetsuit, trunks.
6.4. Wax, sunscreen, mini first-aid kit

7. Board Choice
What you bring is up to you. We’ll be riding hollow beach breaks and rock bottom breaks. We will also be riding shorebreak on a couple of sessions. You’ll want something that’ll let you scoop into some pits. An all-around board will be your best bet. If you want to bring two boards, by all means, go for it.

8. Threads
8.1 At least two pairs of trunks
8.2 At least two bright-colored rashguard tops. They look great in photos.
8.3 Lycra or wetsuit bottoms for under your trunks. Belly Jelly to prevent chafing.

9. WiFI: We will have wifi at our hotel.

10. Forgot Something? Don’t worry. There are plenty of shops to pick up anything that you may have forgotten at home.
