If you're looking for an amazing surf trip where you'll improve your surfing skills in paradise... this is it! I visited for the first time back in 1996 and was absolutely blown away by the sheer beauty of the tropical islands. This all-inclusive trip takes care of all the logistics from three meals a day, airport transfers, boat transfers, and AC accommodations steps from the water.

This trip will be more focused on beginners to novice surfers. With the perfect warm soft wave just minutes from our home, you'll be able to fine-tune your pop-up and surfing skills. The more experienced surfers are more than welcome to join and will be directed to the waves of their liking which are also just steps or a short boat ride away.

With all Epic trips, I do my best to deliver safety, respect, and make your surf escape as comfortable as possible. I take out all the hassles so you simply worry about having an absolutely amazing time and returning home revitalized.

Day 7
Take the early flight back to Panama City (smaller airport), then transport to the main airport in Panama City to fly home.

The Accommodations
Accommodations include 3 private bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have access to two full bathrooms steps down the hall. One of the bedroom has it's own full bathroom. There is a kitchen and living room just across open-air hallway.

There is access to the garden where fresh vegetables and tropical fruits are grown. There is a lawn for sunbathing or rinsing off after a surf session. Unfortunately, due to the raining season, there are many mosquitos. I will remind you to put on the repellent on the daily. The house is located on the main walking path on Isla Carenero, right on the beach but tucked into the jungle so it is tranquil.

Your room has air conditioning, fresh linen, a bath towel for each, and all of the necessary beach equipment you could need on vacation (snorkels, goggles, SUP, kayaks, and surfboards).

On the upper level are the host and his two sweet dogs and always available to help keep you comfortable during your stay.

The Food
Like all Epic surf trips, we eat well on this trip. On the first day, we'll make a grocery run to stock up our kitchen with snacks and other items to help carry us between meals. You may be so full you won't need the snack. We will be going out for most of our meals and will have breakfast prepared for us every day. Bocas has an amazing selection of cuisine from tasty Indian food to local grinds to perfect Pizza.

Some of our favorite places to eat on Carenero Island are:
Bibi's On The Beach - Steps from your door and they have an amazing coconut and curry fish dish
Coquitos - Has a chill beach bar vibe with tasty fish tacos and the best pizza around
Leaf Eaters - Vegatarian restaurant on the water that serves up fresh delicious entrees
Carnitas - The best Mexican food on the island

Plus, we'll have one dinner prepare by Sunanda the owner of the Indian Restaurant that unfortunately burnt down. Maybe the new location will be done by the time we arrive :)

We will also boat taxi over to the main island of Bocas Town and try the healthy meals of Cafe del Mar and BDT. You will eat well on this trip amigos y amigas. 

Getting There
Please let Manny V help you with your travel arrangments. You will fly into Panama City, Panama (PTY airport code) (not Panama City, Florida). You may need to stay the night near the smaller airport about 30 minutes up the road if you can't make the connecting flight. If this is the case, I suggest you leave a day early, stay the night and take the earliest flight to Bocas. I will help with transport and hotel stay no problem.

If you can spare an extra day, save it for the flight out. We can have Marcos, our expert local driver, take you to tour the Panama Canal, downtown Panama City and/or the old City, Casco.

Booking Flights
Arriving: You're going to fly into Tocumen International Airport. The airport code is PTY. Then, you'll want to fly from PTY to BOC (Bocas del Toro airport). Note: You will be flying on a smaller plane from Panama City to Bocas del Toro. The smaller planes have a restriction on board lengths.
